We offer two core development pathways designed to help young athletes (ages 8–17) build speed, agility, strength, and resilience. Each program complements the other, giving athletes the tools to perform at their best on the field, court, or track.
Goal: Make athletes faster and more agile where it matters most—those first 3–5 steps and game-speed changes of direction. Research and practice show most team-sport sprints reach ~80% of max speed within the first few steps, so we emphasise early acceleration, posture, and footwork before layering on volume.
How we train:
- Technical development:
Sprint mechanics (drive, projection, posture), COD positions, and reactive agility drills that translate to sport scenarios.
- Physical development: Progressive exposure to maximal sprinting (including upright sprinting over 20m+) to build speed safely and effectively. Plyometrics are included to grow lower-body power.
- Objective feedback: Timing and video feedback to coach details, track 10m/20m, and monitor max speed so athletes and parents see progress.
What a session can include
Warm-up and drills → technical acceleration work → change-of-direction/agility scenarios → plyometric power block → speed exposures → cool-down & feedback.
Expected outcomes
Cleaner mechanics, faster first steps, improved agility, and measurable gains in short sprint times.
Goal: Build strength, coordination, and robustness that carry over to faster sprinting, better jumping, and fewer time-loss niggles.
How we train:
- Movement quality first:
Age-appropriate patterns (squat, hinge, push, pull, brace) taught with great technique and supervision.
- Strength and power: Carefully progressed loads and tempos; med-ball work and jumps to connect strength to speed.
- Resilience: Accessory work for hamstrings, hips, and trunk to support sprinting and change-of-direction demands. Sessions complement the speed work above and reduce injury risk.
Expected outcomes
Improved force production, better control, and durability across a full season.
We use simple, objective markers (e.g., 10m and 20m sprint times and periodic video analysis) so athletes understand what’s improving and why. Parents receive clear updates.
Led by an experienced S&C coach with a track record across youth and elite performance, we combine individualised coaching with a supportive environment—similar to how your Small Group PT model prioritises coaching quality and structure.
We help to develop fundamental athletic skills, maximise your sporting performance and achieve your athletic potential.
We love what we do and we are passionate about our work which helps to provide a high quality, individualised coaching.
Headed up by Vitalij Kalcinskij, the lead strength and conditioning coach, we are very experienced and knowledgeable about our area of expertise.
We have worked with multiple athletes to help them learn to move and perform better. Helping to reduce injuries and improve performance.
